Tips and tricks to build a tour
Building a tour that is engaging, informative and easy to follow requires careful consideration of various elements such as audio, images, and translations. Here are some tips and recommendations to make your tour the best it can be:
Audio
To make your tour accessible to a wider audience, it's best to provide audio content in all the languages you have set up for the tour. Visitors who don't understand the language of the audio will miss out on valuable information. Text-to-speech content can be a quick alternative to professionally recorded audio if needed.
It's important to keep the length of the audio clips in mind. Visitors tend to lose interest if the audio is too long. Try to keep your audio clips under two minutes. If you have a lot of information you want to share, consider using layered audio. This strategy allows you to provide the full story for visitors who are interested, while others can move on to the next stop.
Images
-
Images are used independent of language, so it's best to avoid using text in your images. The image you upload for the English version of the tour will be the same for all other languages.
-
Don't forget to upload an image for your site if you're using the Mobile Website. You can find this option in Site Settings > Mobile Website.
-
You can also customize the URL for your tour and download a QR code that visitors can scan to start the tour quickly.
-
If you want to highlight a particular stop, you can use the QR code that links directly to that stop. You can find this code in the Stop Settings popup.
