Go Live Checklist

Run through this checklist before opening your tour to visitors. Each item verifies a critical part of the visitor experience.

  • All Basecamps show Online in Hardware → Basecamps
  • All Basecamps show Up to Date (content has been synced)
  • Podcatcher Pro devices are charged and docked in the Basecamp
  • Beacons are placed at each tour stop location
  • Beacon batteries show a healthy level (Full or Mostly full) in Hardware → Beacons

Troubleshooting: Basecamp Network Issues | Beacon Not Detected

  • All stops have audio content in every configured language
  • Stop titles are correct for each language
  • Beacons are linked to the correct stops (check in Stop settings)
  • The Start Stop has language beacons for each available language

  • Click Publishing options and publish your tour
  • Verify status shows Published and up to date
  • Wait for the daily sync to complete (or trigger a manual sync)

  1. Pick up a Podcatcher Pro from the Basecamp after sync completes.

  2. Hold it near a language beacon at the Start Stop — audio should play.

  3. Walk to at least three other stops and verify each beacon triggers the correct audio.

  4. Test the volume buttons and replay function.

  5. Return the Podcatcher Pro to the Basecamp and verify it docks correctly.

  1. Open the PWA URL on your phone (find it in Site Settings → PWA) or scan the QR code.

  2. Select a tour and language.

  3. Play at least three stops and verify audio plays correctly.

  4. Check that stop images appear (if uploaded).

  1. After testing, check the Dashboard — your test sessions should appear under Yesterday or Last 30 days.

  2. Verify Analytics → Tours shows listener data for your test sessions.

Once all checks pass, your tour is ready for visitors. Monitor performance via the Platform and check the Message Center regularly for hardware alerts.
