AV-Sync with Multiple Videos
The AV-Sync system supports synchronizing multiple different videos on a single screen with audio playback on Podcatcher Pro devices. This setup allows you to schedule varied content, enable visitor selection, and reduce hardware costs.
Benefits
Section titled “Benefits”- Content scheduling — Show different videos at various times using the same hardware
- Visitor choice — Let visitors select between videos via touchscreen without reconfiguring the system
- Cost efficiency — A single display and Brainbox can deliver multiple experiences
Required equipment
Section titled “Required equipment”- Guide-ID AV-Sync Tool
- Multiple prepared video files
- Single media player and display
- Guide-ID Brainbox
- Beacon Lite (minimum one)
Setup process
Section titled “Setup process”1. Process each video
Section titled “1. Process each video”Each video receives a unique video code (e.g., A101, A102, A103) and is processed separately through the AV-Sync Tool. This generates corresponding video and audio files for each piece of content.
2. Configure the platform
Section titled “2. Configure the platform”- Create a separate audio stop for each video in the Guide-ID platform
- Upload the corresponding audio file to each stop
- Enter the matching video code for each stop
- Assign a single Beacon Lite code to all related stops
3. Load and test
Section titled “3. Load and test”- Load all processed videos onto the media player
- Scan the beacon with a Podcatcher Pro
- Verify the device automatically detects which video is currently playing
How it works
Section titled “How it works”When a visitor scans the beacon, the Podcatcher Pro listens for timecodes across all configured videos. It automatically identifies which video is currently playing on screen and synchronizes the correct audio track. This detection happens seamlessly — the visitor simply hears the right audio for whatever is on display.
