Audio Not Playing
If your Podcatcher Pro is not playing audio when approaching a beacon, work through these checks:
1. Check that the tour is published
Section titled “1. Check that the tour is published”A tour must be published before it can play on a Podcatcher Pro.
- Log in to the Platform
- Open the Tour Editor for your tour
- Verify the tour status is set to Published
2. Check Beacon assignment
Section titled “2. Check Beacon assignment”Each Beacon must be correctly assigned to a tour stop in the Platform. Verify that:
- The Beacon is assigned to the correct tour stop
- The tour stop has an audio file uploaded
- The Beacon ID matches the physical Beacon at the location
3. Check battery level
Section titled “3. Check battery level”A low battery can cause playback issues. Connect the Podcatcher Pro to a charger or place it in the Basecamp to charge. Check the battery indicator before testing again.
4. Check volume
Section titled “4. Check volume”Make sure the volume on the Podcatcher Pro is turned up. Use the volume buttons on the device to increase the level.
5. Restart the device
Section titled “5. Restart the device”If none of the above resolves the issue:
- Turn off the Podcatcher Pro
- Wait 10 seconds
- Turn it back on
- Wait for the device to fully boot
- Test audio playback again
If the issue persists, dock the Podcatcher Pro in the Basecamp for at least 15 minutes to ensure content is fully synced.
Once resolved, your Podcatcher Pro should play audio within 2–3 seconds of approaching the beacon.
