How to Connect Headphones/Earbuds via Bluetooth

This guide explains how to set up a Beacon for wireless headphone connectivity using the Guide-ID system.

Setup instructions

Step 1: Access hardware settings

Log into your account and navigate to the Hardware section. Select Beacons, then choose Headphone Connector. A Beacon Lite is recommended for best performance.

Step 2: Enter Beacon code

Input your Beacon Lite or Beacon Pro code into the system.

Step 3: Name and publish

After naming your Beacon and clicking Finish, the system automatically adds it using a specialized publishing feature.

Step 4: Sync configuration

Either wait for the automatic daily sync process or manually select Sync All on the Basecamp page to activate your settings.

Step 5: Physical setup and pairing

  1. Position your Beacon in an appropriate location.
  2. Use the Podcatcher Pro to scan the Beacon.
  3. The Podcatcher Pro enters pairing mode, shown by a blue Smart Circle.
  4. Activate pairing mode on your headphones.
  5. Keep your headphones close to the Podcatcher Pro. When the headset connects, the Podcatcher Pro plays a confirmation prompt and vibrates briefly.

Step 6: Test connection

Scan any beacon with the Podcatcher Pro to play audio and confirm it comes through your headphones or earbuds.
