AV-Sync Room Audio

2 min read Updated Jun 2026 8 steps

Room Audio allows you to play audio through room speakers and Podcatcher Pro devices simultaneously. This is useful for multilingual exhibitions, atmospheric soundscapes paired with detailed narration, and accessibility features.

The system distributes audio across stereo channels:

  • Right channel (red RCA) — AV-Sync timecode sent to the Brainbox
  • Left channel (white RCA) — Room audio sent to speakers

This separation maintains synchronization while allowing independent audio streams.

  1. Launch the AV-Sync Tool
  2. Load your video file
  3. Enable the Advanced checkbox in the top-left corner
  4. Select the Room Audio option from the advanced settings
  1. Choose your video code (starting with A1)
  2. Process the video as normal
  1. Connect the red RCA output to the Brainbox
  2. Connect the white RCA output to your room speakers

Your setup is working correctly when:

  • Room speakers play the audio track
  • Podcatcher Pro devices receive synchronized audio
  • The Brainbox AV-Sync LED blinks green during video playback
