AV-Sync
AV-Sync Room Audio
Room Audio allows you to play audio through room speakers and Podcatcher Pro devices simultaneously. This is useful for multilingual exhibitions, atmospheric soundscapes paired with detailed narration, and accessibility features.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”The system distributes audio across stereo channels:
- Right channel (red RCA) — AV-Sync timecode sent to the Brainbox
- Left channel (white RCA) — Room audio sent to speakers
This separation maintains synchronization while allowing independent audio streams.
Setup steps
Section titled “Setup steps”1. Prepare the video
Section titled “1. Prepare the video”- Launch the AV-Sync Tool
- Load your video file
- Enable the Advanced checkbox in the top-left corner
- Select the Room Audio option from the advanced settings
2. Process the video
Section titled “2. Process the video”- Choose your video code (starting with
A1) - Process the video as normal
3. Connect the hardware
Section titled “3. Connect the hardware”- Connect the red RCA output to the Brainbox
- Connect the white RCA output to your room speakers
Verification
Section titled “Verification”Your setup is working correctly when:
- Room speakers play the audio track
- Podcatcher Pro devices receive synchronized audio
- The Brainbox AV-Sync LED blinks green during video playback
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Issue | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No speaker sound | Incorrect RCA connection | Check that the white RCA is connected to the speakers |
| Audio on wrong output | Reversed RCA cables | Swap the red and white RCA connections |
| Volume imbalance | Media player settings | Adjust volume levels at the media player |
