Podcatcher Overview

1 min read Updated Jun 2026

The Podcatcher overview page provides a quick snapshot of current Podcatcher status, including sync information and Basecamp location data.

This section monitors key metrics:

  • Seen Today — Podcatchers that connected to a Basecamp during today’s sync.
  • In Use — Podcatchers removed from Basecamp and not yet returned.
  • Ready for Use — Available Podcatchers in Basecamp without issues or errors.
  • Issues — Devices currently flagged with “Error” status.

A utilization graph displays activity from the previous day, highlighting peak usage times. The light green background represents total capacity (devices seen in the past 14 days), while darker green shows actual usage by visitors based on tour logs. A warning appears when usage reaches 80% or more of capacity.

The list organizes devices into three categories:

  • Issues (Past 30 days) — Podcatchers with “Error” status seen within the past month.
  • Recently Active Podcatchers (Past 30 days) — Non-error devices (Warning or Ready status) seen within the past month.
  • Inactive Podcatchers (over 30 days) — Devices not detected for more than 30 days, including all statuses.

For each Podcatcher, the following information displays:

  • Serial Number — Unique identifier for the device.
  • Status — Ready, Warning, or Error.
  • Current Location — Most recent location detected.
  • Last Seen — Date and time of last connection.
  • Last Sync — Most recent content update timestamp.
