Autostart

1 min read Updated Jun 2026 12 steps

This feature automatically starts the Podcatcher Pro in your selected main language when it is removed from the Basecamp.

When you publish your first tour, it automatically sets that tour in the main language as the autostart default for all linked Basecamps. To adjust this:

  1. Navigate to Site settings.
  2. Select Podcatcher.
  3. Locate the autostart option.
  4. Choose your preferred tour and language.
  5. Save changes.

This setting applies globally across your system.

Method 2: Per-Basecamp language assignment

You can configure different languages for different Basecamps:

  1. Go to Hardware > Basecamp.
  2. Click the three-dot menu for your target Basecamp.
  3. Access settings and toggle the autostart option.
  4. Select the specific tour and language.
  5. Save.

When a Podcatcher Pro is removed from a Basecamp, it starts in that Basecamp’s configured autostart language — so moving devices between Basecamps with different settings switches the start language accordingly.

To prevent immediate audio playback:

  1. Edit the “Tour Start” stop in your tour.
  2. Leave it with no audio, or make the first clip an ABCD clip (interactive response type).

Audio will then only begin when users interact with a beacon or button.
