Feature
Autostart
This feature automatically starts the Podcatcher Pro in your selected main language when it is removed from the Basecamp.
Two configuration methods
Section titled “Two configuration methods”Method 1: Global tour autostart
Section titled “Method 1: Global tour autostart”When you publish your first tour, it automatically sets that tour in the main language as the autostart default for all linked Basecamps. To adjust this:
- Navigate to Site settings.
- Select Podcatcher.
- Locate the autostart option.
- Choose your preferred tour and language.
- Save changes.
This setting applies globally across your system.
Method 2: Per-Basecamp language assignment
Section titled “Method 2: Per-Basecamp language assignment”You can configure different languages for different Basecamps:
- Go to Hardware > Basecamp.
- Click the three-dot menu for your target Basecamp.
- Access settings and toggle the autostart option.
- Select the specific tour and language.
- Save.
When a Podcatcher Pro is removed from a Basecamp, it starts in that Basecamp’s configured autostart language — so moving devices between Basecamps with different settings switches the start language accordingly.
Disabling autostart
Section titled “Disabling autostart”To prevent immediate audio playback:
- Edit the “Tour Start” stop in your tour.
- Leave it with no audio, or make the first clip an ABCD clip (interactive response type).
Audio will then only begin when users interact with a beacon or button.
