Set Up Automatic Triggering

1 min read Updated Jun 2026 6 steps

Automatic triggering uses UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology to play audio on a Podcatcher Pro as soon as a visitor enters a beacon zone. This means visitors hear the right content without needing to scan or press anything.

Before you start, make sure you have a Beacon Pro installed at your tour stop — UWB automatic triggering requires Beacon Pro. If you haven’t set up your beacons yet, see What is a Beacon? and Beacon Pro Installation.

Set up automatic triggering in the Platform

Section titled “Set up automatic triggering in the Platform”
  1. Go to Tours > My Tours in the Platform
  2. Open the tour you want to configure
  3. Click on the stop where you want to add a beacon trigger
  4. In Stop Settings, select the beacon from the dropdown
  1. Select the trigger distance — preset values from 15 cm to 10 meters (default 3 meters)
  2. Click Save settings

Your Podcatcher Pro will now automatically play audio when visitors approach this beacon.
