Data Export
Download your tour metrics as CSV files for external processing and deeper insights.
Accessing the Export Function
Section titled “Accessing the Export Function”- Log in to the Guide-ID platform.
- Select “Analytics” from the left navigation menu.
- Click the “Export” tab in the top menu bar.
Previewing the data format
Section titled “Previewing the data format”The export page displays an Example data tile that previews the structure of your exported data. Review this tile to understand the column layout before generating your file.
Setting export parameters
Section titled “Setting export parameters”- Use the date filters on the right side of the page:

From dateto select your starting date. - Click
To dateto select your ending date.
- Click
Generating your export
Section titled “Generating your export”- Click the blue
Exportbutton. - The download button is disabled while the file is being generated — wait for processing to complete.
- When ready, the file automatically downloads to your device.
- For small datasets, you receive a single CSV file named
SiteName-Analytics-YYYYMMDD-YYYYMMDD.csv. - For large datasets, the download is a ZIP archive containing one or more CSV files.
Understanding Your Data
Section titled “Understanding Your Data”The CSV file uses a semicolon (;) as the column separator. Your exported file contains the following data columns:

| TourName | The name of the tour as configured in the platform |
| Date | The date when the visitor interaction occurred (YYYY-MM-DD format) |
| StopName | The specific audio stop or beacon point |
| Language | The language code selected by the visitor (e.g., en-EN, nl-NL) |
| Device | The playback device type (Podcatcher or PWA for web app) |
| NumberOfTimesListened | Total play count for each stop |
Troubleshooting export issues
Section titled “Troubleshooting export issues”| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| CSV file shows incorrect formatting | Import via Data → Import CSV in Excel instead of double-clicking the file |
| Special characters appear broken | Use the UTF-8 import method described in the tip above |
| Missing data for specific tours | Check that the tours were active during your selected date range |
Your exported data gives you full flexibility to perform deeper analysis beyond the built-in Analytics overview, supporting data-driven decisions about content and tour optimization.
